Job Description

The Technology Manager for the Image Management Systems Unit is responsible for supporting Enterprise Imaging Infrastructure which includes the Mayo Institutional Digital Image Archive (MIDIA), Institutional Image Management System (IIMS), and the Enterprise Clinical Image Viewer. The position collaborates closely with practice areas, the Clinical Digital Imaging and Video Subcommittee and other IT teams. Responsible for the roadmap and overall management of a technology portfolio of either applications or infrastructure components. The main competency of a Technology Manager centers on the disciplines of technology management to ensure the portfolio effectively meets short and long term Mayo requirements. Technology Managers assess technology effectiveness to ensure alignment with performance, cost, architectural and business requirements. The Technology Manager develops short and long term plans working with the Office of IT Strategy and Architecture as well as the Office of Information Security to ensure the technology portfolio components align with overall direction and meets Mayo requirements. Technology Managers are responsible for developing high performance operations and developing tech culture based teams to delivery technology upgrades, enhancements, integrations and level three on call support while ensuring direct report development and training needs are met. Technology Managers provide structure, guidance and support for budgeting, capital, and Opex planning for delivery of technology. May serve as Secretary, Assistant Secretary or member of IT for institutional committees.

This is a full time remote position. Incumbent must live within the United States, preferably within a reasonable driving distance to a Mayo Clinic campus. Mayo Clinic will not sponsor or transfer visas for this position including F1 OPT STEM.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree with 6 years of experience, which includes 2 years of demonstrated leadership experience; Or, Associated Degree with 8 years of experience, which includes 2 years of demonstrated leadership experience and commitment to obtain a Bachelor's degree within 4 years. Experienced with committee- and consensus-managed, physician-led organization.

Other Qualifications: Strong customer service orientation. Requires effective decision making and effective consensus management. Strong understanding of and experience in Technology Management disciplines. Strong understanding of finance, business processes, budgeting and human resources development. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Demonstrated history of continuing education in personnel and administrative processes. Experience with personnel management, resource allocation, coaching and mentoring.

Additional Experience and/or Qualifications: (Has Achieved Competency in the Following Areas, Job Knowledge and Additional Considerations): Master's degree preferred with 4 years of experience. Experience working in healthcare technology. Experience with managing both custom developed and vendor-supplied products and services. Experience in vendor management and negotiations. Preferred experience includes working directly with the clinical practice, Imaging workflows, Imaging Architectures, Vended Software Implementation and Support, Custom Software Development and Support, and IT integration into clinical workflows.
