Position Overview:

The Revenue Cycle Analyst will play a key role in evaluating and improving the company’s revenue cycle processes, including billing, collections, claims, and denial management. This analytical position requires a detail-oriented professional with a solid background in healthcare revenue cycle operations and a strong command of data analysis. The Analyst will collaborate closely with revenue cycle leadership, finance, and clinical teams to support revenue optimization efforts.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Data Analysis & Reporting: Gather and analyze revenue cycle data to identify trends, monitor KPIs, and generate reports to support performance improvement initiatives.
  • Revenue Optimization: Identify areas for revenue cycle enhancement, including opportunities for reducing denials, improving collection rates, and enhancing billing accuracy.
  • Claims and Denial Management: Analyze claims and denial data, providing insights to revenue cycle teams to reduce denial rates and ensure timely reimbursement.
  • Process Improvement: Collaborate with revenue cycle and operational teams to streamline processes, reduce inefficiencies, and improve overall cycle times.
  • Compliance Monitoring: Ensure revenue cycle activities adhere to healthcare regulations and payer requirements, providing recommendations to enhance compliance where needed.
  • Stakeholder Communication: Communicate findings, trends, and recommendations to revenue cycle leadership and other stakeholders through regular reports and presentations.
  • Revenue Cycle Performance Tracking: Continuously track key metrics such as days in A/R, denial rates, and collection efficiency to support revenue cycle goals and provide actionable insights.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Healthcare Administration, Business, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in healthcare revenue cycle analysis, with knowledge of billing, collections, and reimbursement processes.
  • Strong analytical skills, with proficiency in Excel, data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI), and healthcare billing software.
  • Solid understanding of healthcare regulations, including Medicare, Medicaid, and private payer requirements.
  • Detail-oriented with excellent problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to identifying and addressing issues.
  • Effective communication skills, with experience presenting complex data to various stakeholders.
  • Ability to work independently in a remote environment, with occasional travel as needed for team meetings or training sessions.
