We have an opportunity for an Account Manager with experience in MN Government agencies. We are seeking someone who lives in Minneapolis/ St. Paul, MN area. Note: Relocation expenses are not covered by the employer/client. We are seeking an account manager who will develop existing relationships with our current clients and manage a portfolio of assigned clients.

Applicants responding to this position must be a US Citizen and maybe subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements by currently possessing the ability to view classified government information. Must have lived in the US for the past 5 years.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage accounts of all sizes by representing Lifescale Analytics externally with clients and internally by working with direct reports and supporting positions
  • Develop a thorough understanding of the clients’ position in the market, their product/service, points of difference and competitive landscape
  • Manage client input and feedback for all projects with detailed direction and timelines
  • Establish and build strong working relationships with business leaders at all levels
  • Manage day-to-day client communication and ongoing relationships as it relates to current, new and upcoming projects
  • Develop and implement data governance policies and procedures
  • Collaborate with stakeholders across the organization to establish data standards and ensure adherence to data policies
  • As necessary, visit clients, attend trade shows and other industry events to capitalize on networking and relationship-building opportunities
  • Manage and coach the internal team
  • Proactively remain connected to clients and the ever-changing market to access new search opportunities and ensure all viable clients are engaged on a regular and effective basis
  • Communicating with clients by phone, through email and face-to-face to ensure their needs are understood and addressed
  • Building strong client relationships to maintain old business and acquire new customers
  • Collaborating with various internal departments to ensure they fulfill all customer requests
  • Resolving complaints and keeping track of all processes that pertain to the clients’ desires
  • Acting as the client’s representative in a firm to ensure their demands are met with a focus on improving the customer experience
  • Collecting and analyzing data concerning consumer behavior to understand changing needs
  • Other duties may be assigned to meet business needs

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years’ experience with account management.
  • 2-3 years of experience as a Business Analyst/Data Analyst in the IT space.
  • Experience managing consultative services and local government entities. Connections in the MN government agencies.
  • Hands on experience working with local government entities and managing those accounts.
  • Proven ability to contribute in a fast-paced environment consistently and positively
  • Ability to effectively communicate with client leaders of all levels (C-level down to entry-level support roles)
  • Ability to work independently and manage personal and team member time, keeping deliverables and deadlines top of mind
  • Creative thinking and problem-solving aptitude
  • Strong writing, phone, and presentation skills
  • Seek to understand the cause and identify solutions that leverage company’s service.
  • Ability to sense moods and read body language so they know their audience and what to say at the right time.
  • Strong time manager and ability to improve processes and maximize opportunities for high efficiency.
  • Satisfactory problem-solving skills to help resolve customer complaints or needs
  • Up-to-date understanding of the industry’s consumer behavior
  • Strong customer service and interpersonal skills for dealing with different types of customers and clients
  • Ability to input data in CRM (Deltek Costpoint) and keep it updated
  • Advanced negotiation skills to close contracts
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, marketing, sales or another similar field.
