Samsung SDS America is looking for a dedicated Systems Administrator to join our Device Solutions America (DSA) Lab Support team to support Samsung Semiconductor. This role is responsible for the configuration, maintenance, and optimization of Atlassian tools, including Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket, and other key integrations such as Jenkins, Artifactory, and VMware. The ideal candidate will have strong technical expertise in system administration on Linux environments, a passion for troubleshooting, and hands-on experience with the Atlassian product suite.
This role works onsite at Samsung Semiconductor in San Jose, CA.

Responsibilities:
- Configure, manage, and maintain Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket, and other Atlassian tools.
- Integrate Atlassian tools with Jenkins, Artifactory, and VMware to optimize development workflows.
- Perform basic system administration on Linux environments and manage VMware infrastructure.
- Design and manage Jira components including project workflows, screen schemes, permission schemes, and notification schemes.
- Understand system architecture and assess upstream and downstream impacts when implementing solutions.
- Develop, test, and deploy integrations between Atlassian products and internal systems, ensuring seamless functionality.
- Support and troubleshoot Jira and Confluence environments, ensuring uptime and optimal performance.
- Administer Atlassian product add-ons, evaluating their use to meet evolving business needs.
- Create complex Jira workflows, including conditions, validators, and post functions.
- Develop and manage comprehensive Jira/Confluence queries, dashboards, and performance metrics for reporting.
- Maintain an up-to-date knowledge of Atlassian products, administration best practices, and Agile methodology.
- Participate in the process of selecting external Atlassian partners to enhance system performance.
- Provide training and user support on new features, implementations, and best practices.
- Maintain strong working knowledge of JQL for administration and query-writing tasks.
- Migrate users and projects from legacy tools to Jira/Confluence.
- Administer Confluence spaces, including permission schemes and security monitoring.
- Audit accounts and disable those no longer in use, ensuring optimal system performance and security.
- Support Jira Service Desk for incoming Confluence/Jira service requests and act as the first point of contact for related tickets.
- Serve as a primary point of contact for onboarding new users to Jira, Confluence, and GitHub.
- Ensure compliance with company policies for Atlassian tools and collaborate on updating policies.
- Coordinate testing for new product updates with users and application administrators.
- Coordinate the management of a dynamic environment and ensure smooth operation across all areas of responsibility.
Requirements
- 5+ years of System Administration experience
- 3+ years of hands-on experience supporting and configuring Atlassian products, with a strong focus on Jira and Confluence.
- Associate s degree preferred in Computer Science, IT or similarfield
- Proficiency in Linux system administration and VMware management.
- Solid understanding and hands-on experience with GitHub.
- Outstanding analytical, teamwork, and interpersonal skills to troubleshoot issues and respond effectively to user requests.
- Highly developed oral and written communication skills, with the ability to present solutions and conduct user training sessions.
- Experience coordinating in fast-paced environments and managing responsibilities across multiple functions.
- Familiarity with Jenkins and Artifactory integrations is a plus.
- Strong knowledge of JQL and ability to create and manage advanced queries.
- Experience with migrating teams from other tools to the Atlassian suite.
- Willing and able to commute to the office 5 days per week.
- Must be authorized to work for any employer in the U.S.

The base pay range for this role is $110000 - $168000 per year.
Individual base pay depends on various factors, in addition to primary work location, such as complexity and responsibility of the role, job duties/requirements, and relevant experience and skills. Certain roles are eligible for additional rewards, including annual bonus. U.S.-based employees have access to medical, dental, and vision insurance, a 401(k) plan and company match, short-term and long-term disability coverage, basic life insurance, and wellbeing benefits, among others. U.S.-based employees also receive, per calendar year, up to 10 scheduled paid holidays, and Paid Time Off.
