Human Resources Coordinator Duties/Responsibilities:
- Recruitment and Hiring:
- Proactively source, recruit, and interview potential candidates for open positions.
- Facilitate the hiring process, collaborating with hiring managers to ensure the selection of qualified applicants.
- On-boarding:
- Implement and manage a comprehensive new hire orientation program.
- Coordinate and conduct on-boarding activities to ensure a seamless integration of new employees into the organization.
- Background Checks and Verification's:
- Conduct or coordinate background checks and employee eligibility verification in accordance with company policies.
- Compliance and Documentation:
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations in all recruitment and on-boarding processes.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation related to mandatory training, education, and assessments.
- HR Program Administration:
- Administer and execute human resource programs, emphasizing recruitment, compensation, benefits, and leave.
- Address routine tasks related to disciplinary matters, investigations, performance management, talent development, and occupational health and safety.
- Employee Inquiries:
- Respond to employment-related inquiries from applicants, employees, and supervisors.
- Refer complex or sensitive matters to the appropriate staff for resolution.
- Meeting Participation:
- Attend and actively participate in employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations.
- Policy Review and Compliance:
- Review and update policies and practices to ensure ongoing compliance with employment laws and recommended best practices.
- High School Diploma or GED required and 1 year of HR experience. Bachelor's degree in HR or related field is strongly preferred.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Exceptional interpersonal and conflict resolution skills.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Effective time management skills with the ability to meet deadlines.
- Analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.
- Proficient in Microsoft Outlook 365 or related software.
- Quick learner with the ability to navigate the organization’s HRIS and talent management systems.
- Bilingual proficiency in Spanish is preferred but not required.
