Position Purpose

We are looking to create a Transaction Coordinator for our Development Department. This team member will provide support to the Development Manager and serve as a liaison to various departments within the organization including Acquisitions, Finance, Due Diligence, Compliance, Asset Management, and Investor Relations. The Transaction Coordinator will be a collaborative team player who will coordinate, manage departmental and transactional projects, perform research, assist with analytical duties, and oversee various acquisition, disposition, and refinance responsibilities and tasks. Ideal candidates will have 2+ years related experience, energetic and eager to tackle new projects and ideas, be highly organized, detail oriented with a passion for real estate and a knack for managing complex transactions.

Transaction Coordinator Responsibilities

  • Construct new processes and communication tools to streamline collaboration
  • Liaise with outside legal counsel and lenders as well as internal Acquisitions, and Asset Management departments
  • Coordinate the activities and requirements of teams during and post-acquisition
  • Manage internal transaction pipeline and ensure all deliverables are timely
  • Perform data entry into CRM tools
  • Schedule departmental meetings; assist in the preparation and distribution of meeting agendas and materials
  • Maintain confidential and sensitive information
  • Attend meetings and take notes of discussion; prepare the initial draft of minutes and summaries
  • Complete a variety of special projects including creating PowerPoint presentations, financial spreadsheets, special reports, and agenda material
  • Other additional and/or alternative duties as assigned from time to time
  • Transcribe source material, prepare documents, reports, tables and charts; distribute as appropriate

Transaction Coordinator Requirements

  • An ability to think like an owner in decision making
  • 1 to 3 years of experience in financing transactions, real estate transactions, real estate law, appraisal, underwriting, or investment diligence
  • Prior experience with project and process management, compliance, or related field
  • Ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks and transactions
  • Risk management experience a plus
  • Critical thinking, evaluation and analytical skills
  • Self-motivated, highly organized and detail-oriented
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent computer skills, including the Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel)
  • Exceptional writing, editing, and proofreading skills
  • Notary Public for the State of Nevada preferred but not required
  • Must be able to pass a comprehensive background check
