Allpoints Surveying is seeking a Plats Drafter to join our growing team in Houston, TX. The ideal candidate will be a fast learner and highly detail oriented. The Plats Drafter is responsible for creating and editing subdivision plats using AutoCAD software.

This role follows a five-day (5) workweek, with employees expected to work in the Houston office from Monday to Friday.

Responsibilities
- Uses computer-aided drafting (CAD) software to create, edit, and convert subdivision plat maps into electronic drawings, translating maps/instructions into usable data.
- Recreates subdivision lots and plats from PDF files and delivers AutoCAD lots to the plot plan drafters within a minimum of two days of receipt.
- Ensures that plats are updated per research findings.
- Maintains and organizes all records and files in accordance with federal, state, local and company specific recordkeeping standards.
- A minimum of one (1) year of drafting work experience in creating site plans, including experience with AutoCAD software is required. Experience with Carlson is a plus!
- Experience in reading and understanding subdivision plat maps and documents is required.
