Position Summary

IEM is looking for Full Time - Data Specialists to support our Washington DC Migrant Reception Center/Respite Facility and Temporary Accommodation operations.

Primary Location:

  • Candidates must originate from the Washington DC Area
  • Job sites are located within Washington DC and are subject to change via addition or subtraction based on the clients needs.
  • Continued employment requires you to be able to work on site in the event of a location change.

Essential Functions

  • Serve as the agency’s Department of Human Services designated system administrator.
  • Communicate as needed with the Local Department of Human Services Administrator with the District.
  • Develop and implement the agency’s protocols for staff training of the Department of Human Services designated system according to requirements set by Office of Migrant Services.
  • Meet regularly with Office of Migrant Services staff to develop clear protocols, as well as universal and program specific protocols for data collection and data entry.
  • Ensure accuracy of data entry in the Department of Human Services designated system.
  • Reviews the Department of Human Services identified database (e.g., QuickBase) for data quality, completeness, and accuracy.
  • Run monthly reports and data quality and Annual Performance Reports on all funded programs. Address any issues with the quality and accuracy of these reports.
  • Participate in the creation of customized reports to report on specific outcomes for other private and public funders.
  • Work with Office of Migrant Services Directors to coordinate reconciliation of computer needs/issues with the agency’s contracted Information Technology support as associated with Department of Human Services designated system.
  • Attend Office of Migrant Services staff meetings to collect information to share Department of Human Services designated needs and updates.
  • Support financial reporting with data validation and documentation.
  • Support program staff in interpreting and using analysis for program improvement
  • Produce data for report requests, and other inquiries.
  • Routinely audit data for accuracy and consistency
  • Enter data by inputting alphabetic and numeric information using an established procedure into Quickbase or other Department of Human Services approved tool which utilizes a web-based interface.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Two (2) years of related job function experience or industry experience such as data analysis, database administration, research, and or non-profit program administration.
  • Knowledge of computer software programs specifically Microsoft Office and databases
  • Understanding that this role will last the extent of the current project or on other similar/like projects if they arise.
  • This position will require work to be conducted onsite and will require work on weekends or in excess of 40 hours per week.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Professional Registration or Certification including Project Management Professional.
  • Bilingual English and Spanish
