About the Role:

As an ESG Senior Consultant, you will be a strategic advisor to clients, helping them navigate the rapidly evolving Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) landscape. Based in New York, you’ll work with cross-functional teams on high-impact projects across a diverse client base, providing insights and guidance on ESG reporting, compliance, and sustainability strategy. This role offers an exciting opportunity to influence clients’ sustainability journeys, from designing and implementing ESG frameworks to ensuring alignment with major regulatory standards, such as the SEC Climate Rules and Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD).

You’ll collaborate closely with our national and international teams to bring clients leading-edge insights and best practices in ESG, positioning them to thrive in an increasingly sustainability-focused market.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Client Advisory: Act as a trusted advisor on ESG strategies and reporting frameworks, guiding clients through industry standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Provide expertise on North American and global ESG regulations, such as the SEC Climate Rules, CSRD, and other evolving frameworks.
  • Project Leadership: Manage and deliver complex ESG consulting projects, coordinating with cross-functional teams and ensuring high standards of quality.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with data analysts, consultants, and subject matter experts to develop tailored ESG solutions.
  • Thought Leadership: Contribute to internal knowledge sharing and thought leadership on ESG trends, ensuring the firm remains at the forefront of sustainability consulting.

Qualifications:

  • Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in Sustainability, Environmental Science, Business, or related field; Master’s degree preferred.
  • Experience: 2+ years in ESG consulting, sustainability, or related fields, with experience in regulatory compliance and advisory.
  • Regulatory Knowledge: Strong understanding of North American and international ESG standards, particularly SEC Climate Rules and CSRD.
  • Project Management Skills: Proven success in leading complex, multi-stakeholder projects on time and within budget.
  • Excellent Communication Skills: Ability to communicate clearly and influence at all organizational levels, including C-suite.
