Role Description

We are seeking a collaborative and energetic Marketing Coordinator to join our team. The Marketing Coordinator will be part of the medical education division of Carden Jennings Publishing Co., Ltd. that focuses on providing content and continuing medical education (CME) conferences to urologists, urologic oncologists, and other medical areas. The Marketing Coordinator will be responsible for assisting and implementing different marketing campaigns that promote Grand Rounds in Urology (www.grandroundsinurology.com) continuing medical education meetings and educational content through marketing techniques to drive traffic to the website, manage content on YouTube with a goal to grow subscribers and viewership, increase engagement in channels. This position will also be responsible for marketing the company s conference program, driving registrations and traffic to on demand content of conferences. This position will report to the VP of Medical Education Meetings and Marketing.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Serve as an admin or co-admin for marketing technologies including HubSpot, MailChimp, Canva, Eventbrite, and pioneering new technologies to add to our martech stack.

  • Serve as an admin or co-admin for our social media channels including X, LinkedIn, YouTube, and Facebook.

  • Coordinate, facilitate, and grow the webinar program.

  • Maintain the editorial calendar of promotional content and manage its promotion across channels.

  • Support our in-person events program from a marketing perspective.

  • Collaborate across different team members including the graphic designer, production manager, sponsorship team, and meeting planners.

  • Assist in and help grow reporting, tracking, and analytics of meeting success and marketing efforts.

  • Co-manage a team of freelance writers, proofreaders, and administrative specialists to write/edit sponsored blog posts and webinar materials, meeting content, including faculty bios, website content, marketing, and agenda content for meetings.

  • Participate as a member of the meeting travel team occasionally, assisting with speaker management, registration desk, or other duties as required.

Skills and Qualifications

  • Bachelor s degree in Marketing, Media Studies, English, Communications, Biology, Cognitive Science, Neuroscience, or related majors (preferred)

  • Experience using Microsoft Office, Google Suite, Canva, WordPress, HubSpot or other CRM tools, Slack, Zoom, social media marketing (preferred)

  • Strong interpersonal and collaborative skills

  • Strong attention to detail and analytical thinking

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • 1-3 years marketing or coordinating experience (can include internships or work during college)

This position will be primarily remote with occasional travel to Charlottesville, VA (company HQ), and the ability to travel as needed to in-person conferences at various locations. Estimated 5-10% travel. Salary range: $45,000-$50,000 depending on experience level.
