- Serves as an authoritative, recognized authority, applies Air Force Management Engineering (ME) and manpower expertise to render expert advice, and to develop, interpret, and implement policies and procedures to execute the Air Force world-wide MEP. Shares responsibility with MRS commander for mission success.
- Develops, interprets, and implements policies and procedures to execute the Air Force Process Improvement (PI) and Continuous Process Improvement (CPI) program for Office of the Under Secretary of the Air Force; Director, Business Transformation and Deputy Chief Management Officer (SAF/US(M)). Serves as the MRS expert technical consultant for execution of the Air Force PI/CPI program.
- Represents the MRS in meetings, conferences, and senior-level forums as an expert consultant and advisor. Furnishes highly advanced technical guidance, executive-level information, and advice to top-level administrative and technical agency personnel, AF/A1M, SAF/US(M), other government agencies, and outside organizations.
- Manages and oversees the MRSs internal support functions to include administration; manpower requirements; military/civilian personnel management; military/civilian training; and the MRS operating budget. Directs and/or leads special projects or commander interest items for the commander. Oversees and directs the internal programs and processes necessary to support assigned military and civilian personnel.
