Title: Project Planner/Scheduler
Location: Newton NC - Onsite

Description:

Skills (Required)
-MS Project experience (Primavera is acceptable)
-Proficient in MS Project and various execution methodologies such as waterfall, agile & sprint and lean or last planning
-Outlook experience
-Attention to Detail
-Interpersonal skills

Skills (Preferred)
-3 years MS Project experience (Inc MSP ON line)
-Constraint management
-Critical path analysis
-Driving predecessor analysis
-Resource Planning

An experienced project manager will also be considered if projects were managed with an Integrated schedule.
Roles/Responsibilities
o Coordinate/facilitate meetings with task owners to establish/evaluate/update tasks, durations, & constraints.
o Weekly email communications of tasks that are late or that are scheduled to start/end in the next 2 weeks (weekly work plan).
o Regular communication of driving predecessors that impact target dates (to task owners & project lead).
o Analyze critical path and constraints to determine effect of changes to schedule and recommend work-around.
o Develop and update weekly short interval schedule working with superintendents and field engineers. Pull Planning or Last Planning.
o Assist project team to develop and maintain periodic status reports to keep management informed on project progress.
o Conduct analysis to determine alternative courses of action or recovery on slipped schedules.
o Develop/manage constraint log. Obtain commitments from owners to resolve constraints.
o Elevate concerns related to ownership of tasks, roadblocks to constraint resolution, or completion of tasks per the plan.
o Create/update master schedule & incorporate important decision diamonds into project plan.
o Monitor & communicate resource utilization via the project plan (people & $).
o Coach/mentor Leaders & Task Owners on the planning process & constraint resolution.
o Log all new information and provide scheduled reports for coordination and reporting purposes.
o Assist to refine tasks and sub tasks to ensure satisfactory realization of project requirements as scheduled.
o Interact with project team and task managers to develop and update detailed schedules, cost information and identification of variances from original plan.
