Position Overview:

The Head of Capital Markets will play a pivotal role in securing the necessary capital to support the company’s growth and expansion plans. This executive will lead all capital raising efforts, manage relationships with investors, and oversee financial strategies that align with the company’s long-term objectives. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in the capital markets, particularly within the renewable energy sector, and a proven track record of raising substantial capital.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Capital Raising: Lead the company’s capital raising initiatives, including debt, equity, and alternative financing methods. Develop and execute strategies to secure funding for new and existing projects.
  • Investor Relations: Cultivate and manage relationships with institutional investors, banks, and other financial stakeholders. Serve as the primary point of contact for all investor communications.
  • Financial Strategy: Collaborate with the CFO and other senior executives to develop and implement financial strategies that support the company’s growth and profitability.
  • Market Analysis: Monitor capital market trends, financial regulations, and economic indicators that could impact the company’s financing options. Provide insights and recommendations to the executive team.
  • Risk Management: Identify potential financial risks associated with capital markets activities and develop strategies to mitigate these risks.
  • Deal Structuring: Oversee the structuring and negotiation of financial deals, including project finance, mergers and acquisitions, and joint ventures.
  • Reporting: Prepare and present detailed financial reports to the executive team, board of directors, and investors.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field. MBA or CFA designation is highly desirable.
  • Experience: At least 10-15 years of experience in capital markets, investment banking, or corporate finance, with a significant portion of that experience in the renewable energy sector.
