Job Overview

The Director Project Finance will lead and manage project finance opportunities, focusing on structuring, negotiating, and executing financing solutions for major projects. This role requires strong leadership, strategic thinking, and deep expertise in project finance, including debt, equity, and hybrid financial instruments.

Director of Project Finance Key Responsibilities:

Leadership and Strategy

Develop and implement strategic financial structures.

Demonstrate leadership over staff to promote rapid execution of financing strategy.

Establish and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including investors, lenders, and clients.

Project Financing

Oversee the structuring and negotiation of financing arrangements for large-scale projects.

Create and analyze financial models to determine project feasibility and financial viability.

Develop and present financing strategies to internal and external stakeholders.

Maximize value and ensure compliance with all financial regulations and standards.

Risk Management

Identify and mitigate financial risks associated with projects.

Lead due diligence efforts associated with new financial opportunities.

Business Development

Support and pursue new opportunities to add incremental value to the broader organization.

Build and maintain a strong network within the industry.

Collaborate with other departments to align project finance strategies with overall business goals.

Reporting and Analysis

Prepare and present detailed presentations for internal and external stakeholders.

Conduct regular reviews of project performance and financial outcomes.

Provide insights and recommendations to improve financial performance and project outcomes.

Requirements:

Qualifications

Education: Bachelor's degree in finance, business, economics, or a related field (Master's or MBA preferred).

Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in project finance, investment banking, or related fields.

Proven track record of leading and executing large-scale project financing deals.

Strong leadership and team management experience.

Skills and Competencies:

In-depth knowledge of project finance structures, financial modeling, and risk management.

Excellent negotiation and communication skills.

Strategic thinker with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

Proficiency in creating and maintaining complex project proforma using MS Excel.

High level of integrity and professionalism.

Results-oriented with a focus on achieving financial goals and objectives.

Physical Requirements:

  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to frequently lift or move items up to 10 pounds.
  • Must be able to occasionally lift or move items up to 25 pounds.

Travel: As required; potential for overnights is < 10%
