Collections background
Organized, detail-oriented, time-management and able to prioritize.
Familiar with credit practices and procedures.
Strong oral and written skills.
Microsoft 365 (Excel, Word, Outlook, MS Teams), Adobe and Bectran Credit Application System (preferred.)
Ten-key by touch, type 40 wpm, basic math.
Able to negotiate with customer, persuasive, problem-solving, follow-up consistently, and work successfully with inter-departments.

Proficient in MS office and Receivable Management Systems


Responsible for the organization’s credit policy including the assessment of credit applications and outstanding credit. Managers or performs work in some/all of the following areas: Researching credit history; applying acceptable credit lines and payment terms to a new customer and/or supplier account; collection and maintenance of customers accounts; follow up correspondence, resolution and escalation of overdue accounts.

This position is responsible for facilitating the collection of assigned accounts receivable and providing financial and analytical information to the assigned Account Executives, Marketing Associates, and District Sales Managers to Maintain collections and manage rick within company guidelines. The position is responsible for performing initial analysis on credit profiles of new customers and making terms recommendations. The position is directly responsible for the investigation and collection of delinquent accounts.

Perform regular review of assigned customers’ account status to ensure timely payment according to terms.
Manages credit hold policy; reviewing customer account status, payment performance, and sale collection action before approving/declining order release.
Provides regular communication with Marketing Associates, District Sales Managers and Account Executives on customer account status to maximize collection rate and timely resolution of discrepancies.
Researches and Resolves account disputes, rejected/returned payments, skipped payments/ invoices and corresponds with customers to reconcile payments and resolve past due balances
Makes recommendations to department management on potential bad debt accounts according to company guidelines
Conducts regular reviews of customer files to manager risk and remain compliant with audit controls and company policy

Education: Associate Degree or related quantitative backgrounds

Experience: Minimum 2 years in credit/collections or equivalent combination of education and experience
