Aeroflow Health – UX+UI Designer

Position Overview:

Aeroflow Health is seeking a UX + UI Designer with a strong focus on user experience to join our Product Engineering team, which supports key business units across B2C transactional web products. This is a pivotal role in enhancing the functionality and usability of our digital products for both internal and external users. In this role, you will lean heavily into UX design, focusing on producing high-fidelity mockups, user flows, wireframes, and prototypes rather than purely creative or colorful visual design. We’re looking for someone experienced with Figma who thrives on creating seamless, intuitive user experiences within an established design system.

Key Responsibilities

  • UX Design and Prototyping: Apply UX design principles to create user flows, wireframes, interactive prototypes, and high-fidelity mockups that prioritize usability, particularly for mobile-first, B2C transactional web products.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner closely with Product, Engineering, Marketing, Business Unit Stakeholders, and UX Research to implement UX strategies aligned with business objectives, feature KPIs, and technical requirements.
  • Design System Development: Contribute to our design systems, style guides, and component libraries, ensuring scalability and consistency across products without relying on one-off design decisions.
  • UX Research Support: Assist in planning and interpreting user testing insights, leveraging this research to drive informed design improvements without needing to conduct research directly.
  • Stakeholder Presentations: Present design concepts, rationale, and priorities to stakeholders, helping ensure alignment across teams.
  • Continuous Improvement: Stay updated on UX/UI trends and technologies, contributing insights to optimize our digital product experience, particularly within eCommerce and B2C sectors.
  • Compliance and Confidentiality: Maintain HIPAA/patient confidentiality and comply with relevant regulations as part of employment expectations.

Skills for Success - (Must-Have Qualifications)

  • B2C Transactional Web Experience: Minimum 3 years of experience designing B2C transactional web products (e.g., eCommerce or similar web interfaces that engage the general public in selection and completion).
  • UX-Driven Focus: Demonstrated expertise in UX design, including user flows, wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity mockups. This role is primarily focused on user experience over purely creative or visual elements.
  • Figma Proficiency: 3+ years experience in Figma, with proven capability in producing high-fidelity designs and interactive prototypes.
  • Design System and Component Libraries: Experience working within established design frameworks and component libraries to ensure scalable, consistent design.
  • UX/UI Best Practices: Skilled in UX/UI trends and best practices, specifically for mobile-first and responsive web design, and proficient in tools such as Jira, Slack, Google Suite, and GA4.
  • Effective Communication: Ability to present designs and effectively communicate with cross-functional teams, including Product Owners, engineering teams, and stakeholders.

Additional Requirements

  • Take-Home Design Challenge: Ability to execute a short take-home design challenge, along with a digital portfolio showcasing UX process and design work.

Nice-to-Have Qualifications

  • Agile Experience: Experience working within an Agile methodology.
  • User Testing Familiarity: Knowledge of user testing and observation tools (e.g., Maze, Noibu, Omniconvert).
  • Healthcare Industry Experience: Background in designing within the healthcare space is beneficial but not required.

What We’re Looking For

We’re searching for a UX + UI Designer who thrives on creating functional, user-centered designs. This role is ideal for someone who has a high level of detail orientation and experience managing multiple priorities while collaborating cross-functionally. The ideal candidate is assertive in seeking out the answers they need, adaptable, and able to work with strong personalities while contributing meaningfully to a team-driven environment. This position also has potential to grow, as we look for this individual to start taking on more ownership across our business units.
