Based in Birmingham, Impact Technology Group is a Managed Services Provider that designs, implements, and manages networks of various sizes and complexities, tailored specifically for professional services firms. If asked to join our team, you would work directly with firm clients and team members to deliver support, solutions, and an excellent service experience. This is a full-time, salaried position with benefits. The primary working hours are Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. The position will require participation in a rotating on-call schedule.

Technical Requirements

  • Ability to deploy and troubleshoot Windows desktop and server operating systems (Windows 2016, 2019, 10, 11, etc.)
  • Strong understanding of Active Directory, Azure Active Directory, and Group Policy
  • Working knowledge of client/server-based applications
  • Knowledge of desktop peripheral devices and deployment (printers, scanners, etc.)
  • Experience with Office 365 and G Suite
  • Working knowledge of TCP/IP
  • Working knowledge of firewalls and routers including VLAN configuration
  • Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud
  • Experience with network monitoring and management tools
  • Knowledge of cybersecurity principles and best practices
  • Experience with backup and disaster recovery solutions
  • Familiarity with virtualization technologies

Role and Major Responsibilities

  • Ensure security products are deployed and functional
  • Review systems for best practices geared toward security
  • Participation in an escalation process through a ticketing system, email, and phone
  • Assist end-users with mid-tier level troubleshooting steps for submitted tickets post-escalation
  • Server deployments, migrations, and support
  • Desktop deployments and support including application support, peripheral support, and workstation deployments
  • Work with software vendor support to correct issues on many levels
  • Track time and document changes
  • Must be able to lift heavy objects (50 lbs+-)

Education:

  • High school or equivalent (Preferred)

Experience:

  • Microsoft Windows Server: 3 years (Preferred)
  • Relevant technology: 2 years (Preferred)
  • Experience working for a Managed Services Organization is a plus
