Job Summary

The Custom Millwork Production Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our custom shop, ensuring that production goals are met while maintaining high standards of quality and efficiency. This role requires a strong leader who can effectively manage resources, implement process improvements, and drive operational excellence. The Production Manager will collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize production planning and supply chain management, ensuring seamless operations within the shop.

Duties

  • Lead and manage all aspects of shop operations, including production planning and scheduling.
  • Oversee supply chain management to ensure timely delivery of materials and products.
  • Implement lean manufacturing principles to enhance productivity, reduce waste, and control inventory.
  • Drive process improvement initiatives to optimize workflow and operational efficiency.
  • Supervise and mentor production staff, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and teamwork.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and maintain a safe working environment for all employees.
  • Collaborate with engineering and maintenance teams to address mechanical issues and improve equipment reliability.

Skills

  • Strong knowledge of production planning techniques and supply chain management principles in the millwork industry.
  • Proven experience in millwork management or 10+ years on custom fabrication.
  • Excellent skills in process improvement methodologies.
  • Mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot equipment issues effectively.
  • Proficient in operations management with the ability to lead diverse teams.
  • Strong analytical skills to assess operational performance and identify areas for enhancement.
  • Effective communication skills to interact with team members at all levels of the organization.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $75,000.00 per year
