Job Summary:
The Data Entry Clerk will be responsible for entering and updating information into company databases with high accuracy and speed. This role involves handling sensitive data and maintaining data integrity, following established procedures to ensure data accuracy. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, organized, and capable of managing high volumes of data efficiently.
Key Responsibilities
Data Entry and Maintenance:
- Input accurate data into various software systems, including databases, spreadsheets, and other digital files.
- Regularly update and maintain information in the database to ensure records are current and accurate.
Data Verification and Quality Control:
- Review data for errors or discrepancies, verifying and correcting inaccuracies as needed.
- Perform data quality checks, ensuring completeness and adherence to data standards.
File Management and Organization:
- Organize and store data files systematically for easy retrieval and access.
- Maintain organized filing systems, both electronic and paper, when necessary.
Compliance and Confidentiality:
- Follow company policies regarding data privacy and security, ensuring sensitive information is handled appropriately.
- Adhere to data entry guidelines and confidentiality policies to maintain data integrity.
Collaboration and Communication:
- Coordinate with team members to ensure consistent data standards across the organization.
- Communicate with supervisors regarding data issues or necessary adjustments.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; some college coursework in data management or related field is a plus.
- Strong typing skills with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Proficiency with data entry software, Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel), and familiarity with database management systems.
