Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for an Import Production Assistant at BBX Co. in the New York City Metropolitan Area. The Import Production Assistant will be responsible for production assistance, ensuring smooth operations and high-quality dresses.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with factory follow-ups to ensure timely production.
  • Maintain the Work In Progress (WIP) report, keeping the team updated.
  • Coordinate fabric and trim approvals with design teams.
  • Communicate with overseas vendors to track status of samples and production items.
  • Collaborate with internal teams including design, sales, logistics to ensure smooth workflow.
  • Support in resolving production issues and QC concerns.
  • Assist in preparing purchase orders and other production items.

Qualifications

  • Experience in overseas garment production, ideally in evening dresses.
  • Understanding of pattern making, grading, and women's wear is a plus.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication skills for effective vendor and team interaction.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel or Google Sheets.
  • Bachelor's degree in Fashion Design, Textiles, Business, or related work experience in field.
