Our client, a leading Private Credit firm is looking to hire an Investment Associate who will play a key role in their private credit strategy, supporting all aspects of the investment process, from sourcing opportunities to performing due diligence, portfolio management, and risk monitoring. The successful candidate will work closely with senior investment professionals and contribute to delivering exceptional results for their investors.
Key Responsibilities:
Investment Analysis & Due Diligence
- Conduct comprehensive analysis on potential private credit investments, focusing on borrower creditworthiness, industry trends, financial health, and collateral quality.
- Support rigorous due diligence processes, including financial modeling, risk assessment, and scenario analysis to inform investment decisions.
- Assist in the evaluation of opportunities in senior secured debt, mezzanine debt, distressed debt, and special situations.
Portfolio Management & Monitoring
- Assist in actively monitoring portfolio positions, tracking performance and credit risk profiles, and preparing regular reports on portfolio health.
- Collaborate with the team to adjust portfolio allocations in response to evolving market conditions or borrower developments.
- Conduct stress testing and scenario analysis to assess portfolio resilience and identify potential downside risks.
Market & Sector Research
- Stay informed of industry and market trends, leveraging regional and sector expertise to identify attractive investment opportunities.
- Provide timely insights into sector-specific developments that could impact existing or prospective investments.
Reporting & Investor Communication
- Prepare regular and ad-hoc investment reports, providing insights into portfolio performance, risk metrics, and relevant market trends.
- Assist in fostering transparent investor communication, including investment updates, strategy outlooks, and regulatory compliance reports.
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or a related field; advanced degree or CFA/CAIA certification is a plus.
- 2-5 years of experience in private credit, debt investments, or related fields such as investment banking, asset management, or corporate finance.
- Strong analytical skills, with proficiency in financial modeling, credit analysis, and understanding of debt structures.
- Familiarity with private credit instruments, including senior secured debt, mezzanine debt, and distressed credit.
- Excellent research and quantitative skills; experience with portfolio monitoring and stress-testing preferred.
- Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, with a focus on delivering clear insights and maintaining transparency with stakeholders.
