The ServiceNow Platform Architect is responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining the ServiceNow platform to meet the organization's needs. The ServiceNow Platform Architect will collaborate with stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions leveraging ServiceNow capabilities.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
ESSENTIAL:
- Design and architect solutions on the ServiceNow platform that align with business requirements, industry best practices, and platform capabilities.
- Provide technical leadership and guidance to development teams in the implementation of ServiceNow solutions, ensuring adherence to architectural standards and best practices.
- Develop and maintain architectural blueprints for ServiceNow solutions. Design ServiceNow solutions that meet business requirements and adhere to best practices. Ensure scalability, performance, and reliability of the ServiceNow platform.
- Lead the development of custom applications, configurations, scripting, integrations, and automation workflows on the ServiceNow platform to address business needs and improve efficiency.
- Define and enforce platform governance policies, including security, compliance, and data privacy, to maintain the integrity and reliability of the ServiceNow environment.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders, IT teams, and external vendors to gather requirements, prioritize initiatives, and ensure successful delivery of ServiceNow solutions.
- Continuously assess and optimize the performance, scalability, and usability of the ServiceNow platform, identifying areas for improvement and implementing enhancements as needed.
- Create technical documentation, guidelines, and training materials to facilitate knowledge sharing and enable the adoption of ServiceNow best practices across the organization.
- Stay abreast of new ServiceNow features, capabilities, and industry trends, and provide recommendations for leveraging them to drive business value.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor of Science: Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems preferred; or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
- ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA), Certified Implementation Specialist (CIS), Certified Technical Architect (CTA), or Certified Application Developer (CAD) is preferred.
- Minimum 7 years' experience architecting, designing, and implementing complex solutions on the ServiceNow platform, including custom applications, integrations, and automation workflows.
- 7 years' experience architecting, managing, and overseeing the development and operation of ServiceNow IT service management (ITSM), IT operations management (ITOM), CMDB Automation, and/or other ServiceNow modules.
- 3 years' experience with coding frameworks using web technologies used in ServiceNow development, such as JavaScript, AngularJS, HTML, CSS, or similar technologies.
- 3 years' experience with REST/SOAP APIs and integrations.
- 3 years' experience with scripting languages such as JavaScript, GlideScript, and PowerShell or similar scripting language.
- 3 years of supervisory experience.
- Experience with Agile development methodologies and DevOps practices is preferred.

- Strong knowledge of business processes, IT systems, and the ability to translate business needs into technical solutions
- Excellent written and oral communication skills, including the ability to present technical solutions simply and the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams
- Demonstrated project management and stakeholder management skills
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail, with a focus on delivering high-quality solutions that meet business requirements.
