The Group Director of Affiliate Marketing will lead the strategic vision and execution of our affiliate marketing initiatives, define best practices, build brand visibility and oversee the North America team. This role will pinpoint key growth opportunities, including cross-selling and new business initiatives, to position the company as a leader in affiliate marketing and driving substantial revenue growth. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of affiliate strategies, market trends, and digital marketing best practices. The Group Director will define and drive the channel strategy to align with media platforms and overall business objectives, ensuring a cohesive approach across disciplines.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee strategic direction of the North American affiliate group; working closely with Global VP on key accounts to drive optimized affiliate marketing strategy and execution
  • Identify, evaluate, and implement solutions to expand affiliate offerings, deepen relationships with clients and industry partners, and uncover key growth opportunities, including cross-selling and new business initiatives.
  • Oversee budget management and resource allocation to optimize the performance of affiliate marketing campaigns and staff.
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams and executive leadership to integrate affiliate efforts with broader marketing initiatives.
  • Drive profitable customer acquisition through affiliate partnerships on various affiliate network/platform solutions for Assembly affiliate clients
  • Engagement with clients to focus on affiliate marketing program development, execution and strategy across the Assembly offerings
  • Lead MBR, QBR and Planning discussions and presentations with clients
  • Define a positive team culture and maintain high morale by promoting open communication, recognizing achievements, and encouraging collaboration and professional development.
  • Oversee the growth and performance of Associate Directors and Directors by implementing Assembly Affiliate processes and guidelines to ensure they meet and exceed expectations

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • 9+ years of in-house e-commerce, affiliate network or agency marketing experience
  • Strong understanding of one or more online marketing channels, such as, Affiliate, Partnership Marketing, Search, CRM, PR, Social Media, Referral, Influencer and Content marketing
  • Must have knowledge of affiliate networks (CJ, Impact, Rakuten, Partnerize, ect.)
  • Familiarity with HTML, a plus
  • Experience with analytics software such as Adobe or Google Analytics, a plus
  • Discipline to work independently and meet established deadlines with an exceptional attention to detail
  • Proven ability to prioritize tasks, handle multiple projects and frequent reporting
  • Attention to detail, accountability and pride in quality of work
  • Knows how to collaborate with and influence both internal and external partners
  • Ability to travel when needed to conferences and client and/or team meetings
  • Exceptional planning and project management skills
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills
  • Quick learner, creative thinker
  • Strong interpersonal skills, curiosity, positive attitude, drive and collaborative spirit

In order to comply with equal pay and salary transparency laws in various locations, we believe the target range of base compensation in all locations within the United States for this role is $150,000-170,000USD. Actual compensation is influenced by a wide array of factors including but not limited to skill set, level of experience, and location.
