  6. Make sure Off is chosen in the pop-up menu next to the website.
  7. On the left, click Pop-up Windows.
  8. Make sure Allow is chosen in the pop-up menu next to the website.

Electrical Design Engineer Commercial and Residential Solar Energy

A local company with a facility in Brighton, Michigan area is currently seeking a Jr.- Mid level Electrical Design Engineer for Direct Hire opportunities with their growing team. These are exciting opportunities for Jr. Mid level Electrical Design Engineers looking for a company that offers excellent training, development, and growth into a leadership role with support to become a licensed Professional Engineer in Michigan.

Jr. Mid level Electrical Designer rates are anticipated to be $25 -$35 per hour range based on each candidates experience and education. All well qualified candidates will be considered regardless of pay rate- Electrical Engineers with significant solar power design experience would be welcomed to apply for consideration of higher rates. Overtime is paid at premium rates over 40 hours. We offer excellent benefits including great medical, dental, and vision.

Qualified Electrical Design Engineers will have most, if not all, of the following skills and experience:

  • BS in Electrical Engineering or closely related field is required.
  • 1+ years of electrical design experience with AutoCAD or closely related design software- academic experience will be considered.
  • Experience in Draftsight CAD software preferred, but Solidworks or similar CAD software experience is acceptable.
  • General understanding of electrical codes and standards including NEC, NFPA, and closely related.
  • Knowledge of renewable resources is a strong benefit solar power electrical design experience is highly valuable. Experience with wind turbines, steam turbines, power distribution systems, electrical system design for new building construction, or other closely related areas welcome.
  • Must be able to work in the United States (no H-1 sponsorship or student Visas considered).
  • Must be able to complete standard pre-hire checks including background, drug screen, references, etc.
