Job Description
The Maintenance Technician will be responsible for mechanical repairs, troubleshooting, and performing regular preventative maintenance and electrical work on bearings, seals, shafts, along with replacing hardware, wiring motors, and reading wire diagrams. This role will also analyze machine errors messages and information obtained from operators to diagnose equipment issues.
Duties
*Responsible for following and complying wit both machine and facility Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and company safety policies
* Respond to maintenance requests reported by the production team and ensuring documentation of all repairs and maintenance are recorded
* Perform routine maintenance of machines and parts such as inspecting parts, drivers, motors, belts and checking fluid levels along with other preventative maintenance actions
* Report and document issues that require escalation when needed
* Prioritize maintenance requests based on impact on the production schedule
* Maintain parts inventory for the facility
* Research and troubleshoot maintenance issues using repair manuals, equipment schematics, and other resources to diagnose machine malfunctions
Qualifications
* Five to ten years of experience in general repair, equipment maintenance, construction, and electrical
* Full understanding of lockout/tagout procedures
* Forklift Certified
* Welding experience
* Experience working on screw conveyors, gearboxes, pulley systems, and sporckets
* Experience working with hydraulic and pneumatic controls
* Ability to read blueprints and electrical drawings
