Newrest is looking for a Supply Coordinator to support their In-flight operations in Houston, Texas.

Responsibilities:

  • Placement of purchase orders in the business system with vendors for products, materials and logistics services.
  • Demand planning for products, materials, and coordination services
  • Purchase order management, including expediting, when necessary, to ensure that all delivery dates are in the business system.
  • Review inventory movement to determine purchase amount. Processing and tracking for all orders Resolution of any issues that will affect the delivery to plan, to cost and to the correct quality and report of progress as required to the business
  • Maintain both the hard copy and electronic job files and archiving system for full supply chain traceability.
  • Maintain and manage the approved vendor list where appropriate, including vendor qualification.
  • Develop strong vendor relationships and take part in vendor development meetings and improvement plans.
  • Monitoring all incoming/outgoing orders and work request and properly logging them into Winrest and other service order systems
  • Coordination and tracking of unit movements inbound too outbound from,
  • Assist the Logistics Leader in the daily organization and operation of the department
  • Ensure that appropriate levels of inventory are in stock at the company warehouse for new products and day-to-day business.
  • Place Purchase Orders according to supply needs.
  • Dispatch and track inbound freight & orders; Exchange Accommodate Market changes & ensures that all information is accurate & products arrive in the most cost-effective manner possible.
  • Constantly reviews inventory to make sure all supplies are reported, but no surplus inventory is accumulated to minimize production losses by reducing downtime.
  • Traces delinquent arrivals from Purchase Orders Expedites orders for emergency parts and supplies by contacting suppliers and airlines to get immediate shipment.
  • Assist in other day-to-day functions and special projects as required
  • Perform other work-related duties as assigned to you

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of two years of experience in purchasing experience.
  • Proficient in MS Outlook, Word, PowerPoint and most proficient in Excel.
  • Process-minded, strong data analytical and organization skills.
  • Problem solver: ability to be resourceful and proactive when issues arise.
  • Attention to detail; thoroughness in accomplishing tasks, ensuring the job gets done right.
  • Flexible; ability to change course quickly based on the company's changing needs.
  • Team Player; works cooperatively with others toward the accomplishment of shared goals.
  • Demonstrates a sense of urgency and works well under pressure.
  • Excellent time-management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks.

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $45,000.00 per year
