Aegis is seeking a maintenance technician for a client of ours in the Rockford, IL area. This position is on first shift. The ideal candidate has the following experience:

  • 3-5+ years of maintenance experience working on production machinery.
  • o Ideally this person will come from a metal manufacturing/fabrication environment, but the Maintenance Manager came from plastic extrusion.
  • Building facilities knowledge & someone that is okay with spending 50% of their time on it plumbing, HVAC, roofing, windows, electrician, safety checks & building reports.
  • Mechanical proficiency- someone should be seasoned with working on pneumatic equipment & have a basic understanding in hydraulics.
  • Electrical proficiency Highly prefer someone with 3 phase, 240/480V experience as well as a strong understanding of interpreting electrical schematics since this person will be rewiring and running some conduit. Sensors, motors, and working with electrical measurement tools is also important.

Pluses:

  • Strong continuous improvement mindset
  • VFD Troubleshooting- either Allen Bradley or siemens would be a plus
  • Positive attitude Trevor and the leadership had made a big effort and having a super close knit and toxic drama free environment so the person they hire needs to have the same goals
  • Experience working with robotic welding equipment
