Job Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and driven Business Intelligence (BI) Analyst to join our team and help transform data into actionable insights that drive business performance. In this role, you will be responsible for collecting, analyzing, and interpreting large sets of data to support business decisions across various departments. The BI Analyst will work closely with stakeholders to understand their data needs and deliver tailored reporting, dashboards, and visualizations that provide a clear picture of key business metrics and performance indicators.

You will play a critical role in leveraging business intelligence tools to support strategic initiatives, optimize operational processes, and uncover opportunities for business growth.

Key Responsibilities
  • Data Analysis & Reporting: Analyze large datasets to identify trends, patterns, and insights that support business decision-making. Develop, generate, and deliver regular and ad-hoc reports and dashboards for various business units.
  • Dashboard & Visualization Development: Design, develop, and maintain interactive dashboards and visual reports using BI tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, Looker) to present data in an easily digestible and actionable format.
  • Collaboration with Stakeholders: Work closely with business leaders and departments (e.g., finance, marketing, sales, operations) to understand their data needs and provide insights that help improve operational efficiency and performance.
  • Data Integrity & Quality: Ensure the accuracy and consistency of data used for reporting and analysis. Collaborate with data engineering teams to clean, transform, and prepare data for analysis.
  • Trend Analysis & Forecasting: Use historical data to identify trends, provide business forecasting, and highlight areas for potential improvement or growth. Develop predictive models to support business objectives.
  • KPI Tracking & Performance Metrics: Define and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) for different business functions. Measure and track performance against established goals, providing regular updates and analysis.
  • Process Optimization: Identify opportunities to automate data collection, reporting processes, and performance tracking, streamlining BI workflows across teams.
  • Ad-hoc Analysis & Support: Provide ad-hoc analysis, reporting, and support for special projects as needed by business units or leadership.
  • Documentation & Training: Create and maintain documentation for BI tools, reports, and dashboards. Provide training and support to end users on how to use BI platforms effectively.
  • Data Governance: Adhere to data governance standards and best practices to ensure the quality, security, and compliance of business data.
Requirements

Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Computer Science, Data Analytics, Statistics, Economics, or a related field.
  • 2-4 years of experience in business intelligence, data analysis, or a related analytical role.
  • Experience with BI tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, Qlik, Looker) and data visualization techniques.
  • Strong understanding of databases, SQL, and data query tools for data extraction and analysis.
  • Familiarity with data warehousing and ETL processes is a plus.

Technical Skills:

  • Proficiency in SQL and experience writing complex queries for data extraction and manipulation.
  • Experience with BI reporting and visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, Looker, Qlik, etc.).
  • Basic knowledge of data modeling and data transformation techniques.
  • Familiarity with data storage solutions and cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Google Cloud, Azure).
  • Knowledge of Excel for advanced functions, pivot tables, and data analysis.
  • Experience with statistical analysis or predictive analytics using tools such as R, Python, or statistical software is a plus.

Soft Skills:

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and translate it into actionable insights.
