Technical Support Specialist

This role places you on the frontline, supporting a U.S. Government program, where you'll play a critical part in a high-stakes, mission-critical environment. As a Technical Support Specialist, youll handle a range of tasks from general troubleshooting to advanced system administration, helping ensure seamless operations across various environments.

What youll be doing:
- Provide Tier I and Tier II support, handling troubleshooting, user account management, and software installations.
- Engage with system health monitoring and status reporting.
- Document problem resolutions in the tracking system.
- Assist remotely located users and interface with development, testing, and deployment teams.
- Participate in incident response, prioritizing and resolving issues.
- Offer support for both COTS and GOTS software as a Tier III resource.
- Provide regular status updates to management and input for reports.
Requirements:
- Citizenship: Must be a U.S. Citizen with active Top Secret clearance and SCI eligibility.
- Experience: 6+ years in technical support roles with systems like Solaris, AIX, Red Hat, Microsoft Windows, VMware, and Citrix.
- Education: High School diploma.
- Technical Skills: Familiarity with TCP/IP, Cisco equipment, shell scripting, RAID, and more.
- Certifications (desired): ITIL, IAT Level I compliance.
