- Serve as general administrative law advisor and Special Assistant United States Attorney (SAUSA) for offenses committed on the federal lands of Fort Bliss within the Western District of Texas.
- Prosecutes and manages criminal cases in Federal Magistrate and District Court involving primarily civilian offenses committed on the federal lands of Fort bliss within the Western District of Texas.
- Incumbent will prosecute and manage all citations, felony, and misdemeanor cases through the SAUSA program.
- As the sole point of contact (POC)/liaison between the United States Attorney Office and Fort Bliss, the incumbent must demonstrate a quick analytical ability and the facility to accurately and precisely articulate the critical issues in a case.
- Incumbent must exercise and possess excellent communication and courtroom skills and exhibit the ability to work in a supportive and professional manner with other attorneys, support staff, and client agencies.
- Overseas Fort Bliss Central Violations Bureau traffic docket for all traffic offense on Fort Bliss in the Western District of Texas.
- Provides probable cause opinions on law enforcement investigations as needed.
- Serves as a legal counsel for special tasks, duties, and projects short or long term-as may be required.
