We are seeking a Cyber Security Specialist / Asset Manager to join our federal team supporting Camp Lejeune, NC (military friendly, but military experience not required). Our cyber security team is on the forefront of the industry, servicing multiple military branches to provide energy management and security solutions while protecting some of the nation s most critical networks. This role will be responsible for supporting our USMC customer by providing cybersecurity expertise for RMF, Asset Management, and Industrial Control Systems/Operational Technology (ICS/OT) cybersecurity solutions.

Salary range: $70,000 - $90,000 based on experience.
Location: Camp Lejeune, NC
Benefits: Eligible for benefits on the first day of employment
Vacation: 3 weeks of paid vacation, 5 sick days, 3 floating holidays, and 10 standard holidays per calendar year
Travel Required: Limited. All work is based at this location.
As a Cyber Security Specialist, you will:
- Assists the Risk Management Framework (RMF)/Cyber team with reviewing and updating the organizations Authorization to Operate (ATO) packages for ICS/OT and IT Assets
- Collaborates with System Administrators, Network/Firewall Engineers, and Stakeholders to ensure compliance with Risk Management Framework (RMF) guidelines regarding IT and OT assets.
- Documents changes, conduct security assessments, and provide valuable subject matter feedback regarding the organizations IT and OT assets
- Manages the organizations asset inventory according to Marine Corps and DoD standards and directives
- Perform planning, coordination, and execution of new installations and upgrades, and track changes through the organizations Change Control Process
- Meets with the customer to assess IT and OT asset statuses, needs, and risk. Assists in future planning and resource allocation for asset management related tasks
- Develop, organize, and maintain the organizations asset inventory
- Document and maintain the organizations IT and OT asset configurations
- Respond to all asset management-related work requests, including working with system maintainers, system engineering analysts, and cybersecurity engineers and cybersecurity analysts.
- Supports assignments involving U.S. Government and DoD/DISA Information Assurance (IA) requirements and applicable policies and processes, DoD network environments, industry computer/security standards, best practices, and DoD cyber security initiatives.
- May help coordinates and create necessary information assurance documentation and artifacts for submittals and accreditation
- Performs security scans and risk assessment on secured systems
- Adherence to safety standards. A high degree of regard for employee safety
- Keeps management and customer informed of job progress and issues
Required Qualifications:
- Ability to obtain and maintain a CompTIA Security+ certification (IAT level II certification) within 90 days of employment. Active certification prior to hire preferred.
- Understanding of Cybersecurity laws, regulations, and policies relevant to the Department of Defense (DoD) and critical infrastructure protection.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, Visio, etc.) and general Windows environment
- Strong communication and documentation skills
- The ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret security clearance (This involves a background/character, criminal history, employment, and credit check.)
Preferred Qualifications:
- Demonstrated experience performing asset management of systems and servers
- Exposure to IT and OT systems
- Familiarity with securing and/or hardening of Industrial Control Systems (ICS) is strongly preferred
- Understanding of Marine Corps Enterprise Network (MCEN) infrastructure and security requirements.
- Familiarity with Marine Corps Compliance and Authorization Support Tool (MCCAST)
- Experience with implementation of Risk Management Framework (RMF)
- Proficiency with NIST, NISPOM, and DSS processes
Preferred Education:
- Bachelor s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Cyber Security or a related field, or equivalent experience (4+ years).
