Role:

APV is seeking a Finance and Pricing Manager to serve as the primary business operations expert, managing all corporate finance and leading pricing functions for the growth department.

Duties:

  • To provide oversight and leadership of the financial and pricing operations of the company
  • Ensuring thorough budget and financial statements.
  • The supervision of several staff members in accounting and finance
  • Management day-to-day financial matters.
  • Pricing strategies and submission for all proposals

Financial Management

  • Make recommendations for APV executive team consideration on financial and business operations matters.
  • Develop and maintain monthly, quarterly and annual corporate financial/operating plan (including projected revenue models, operating plans for each APV contract, and budgets for all corporate overhead and general administration functions).
  • Coordinate and manage the annual financial audit.
  • Lead internal and external all tax-related matters.
  • Assist with APV Accounting operations, ensuring APV meets all government contractors (GovCon) financial management policies as well as generally accepted accounting principles (e.g., competent financial controls and accounting procedures).
  • Collaborate solutions concerning all accounts payable and receivables matters.
  • Assist APV customer invoicing operations, ensuring all APV invoices are accurate, issued timely, and comply with all terms and conditions of the customer contracts.
  • Collaborate with APV payment operations, including payroll.
  • Any other duties as needed.

Pricing responsibilities

  • Plan, manage, and execute Business volume and proposal efforts.
  • Pricing strategies for all proposals.
  • Maintain all contract pricing schedules.
  • Compiles cost, schedule, and technical elements in the development of proposals in accordance with request for proposal (RFP) specifications, company policies, Government regulations and customer requirements.
  • Works closely with Growth team
  • Assist in developing negotiation strategies, including participating as an active member of the negotiation team with external parties.
  • Lead and manage all pricing activities.
  • Expert knowledge of FAR/DFARS/DCAA.
  • Develop contract labor category rates consistent with APV pricing strategy.
  • Responsible for all annual financial reports required by external parties (e.g., corporate taxes, SBA annual report, etc.)

Education:

  • Bachelor's Degree with 7+ years of proposal, pricing, or financial-related experience - OR - Master's Degree with 5+ years of proposal, pricing, or financial-related experience.

Required Skills:

  • 7+ years experience in a senior financial management position with one or more successful government contractors.
  • Demonstrated supervisory experience.
  • Use of IT systems and packages.
  • Professional accounting background and certification.
  • Advanced computer skills, including proven expertise in the use of MS Office Excel, GovCon-approved accounting systems, and GovCon payroll systems.
  • Demonstrated exceptional communication and negotiation skills.
  • Demonstrated data analysis and strategic planning experience.
  • Formal training in federal contract proposal development and management (e.g., Shipley or comparable) is preferred.
  • Experience with UNANET accounting systems -Preferred
