Key Responsibilities:
Manage multiple complex UNIX/Linux infrastructure projects and initiatives simultaneously in a large, global environment
Develop, maintain and implement strategic plans for UNIX/Linux systems across the organization
Lead and mentor global team of UNIX/Linux engineers and administrators
Ensure project deliverables are met on time and within budget
Coordinate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to align UNIX/Linux initiatives with business objectives
Conduct regular project status meetings and provide updates to senior management
Identify and mitigate risks associated with UNIX/Linux infrastructure projects
Drive continuous improvement in UNIX/Linux systems and processes
Oversee capacity planning and resource allocation for UNIX/Linux environments
Required Skills and Qualifications:
10+ years of experience in UNIX/Linux systems administration and engineering
5+ years of experience in project management, preferably in a large, complex global environment
Strong technical knowledge of UNIX/Linux operating systems, including Red Hat, CentOS, and Ubuntu
Expertise in UNIX/Linux infrastructure design, implementation, and maintenance
Proficiency in scripting languages such as Bash, Python, or Perl
Experience with configuration management tools (e.g., Ansible, Puppet, Chef)
Familiarity with containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes)
Excellent leadership and team management skills
Strong organizational and time management abilities
Proven track record of successfully delivering complex IT projects
Experience with Agile methodologies and project management tools (e.g., JIRA, Confluence)
Relevant certifications such as Agile, PMP, ITIL, RHCE, or LPIC-3 are highly desirable
