We are seeking an experienced Applications Chemist to join our Research & Development team. In this role, you ll work closely with sales and R&D teams to identify customer needs, troubleshoot issues, and contribute to product development across multiple business segments. Ideal candidates will have experience with chemicals used in settings like municipal and industrial waste treatment, pulp and paper mills, and mining operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct standard and customer-specific laboratory testing.
- Troubleshoot customer issues in collaboration with internal teams, with occasional travel to customer sites.
- Support Quality Assurance through product testing.
- Develop new test methods to simulate customer processes and ensure accurate results.
- Maintain detailed records in laboratory notebooks and software systems.
- Prepare reports, procedures, and presentations for internal and customer-facing use.
- Calibrate, maintain, and troubleshoot laboratory instruments and ensure a clean, safe work environment.
Requirements:
- Bachelor s degree in Chemistry.
- Minimum 2 years of laboratory experience.
- Familiarity with basic rheological models, Analytical or Organic Chemistry, and polymer applications is preferred.
- Knowledge of statistical controls and methods.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to multi-task effectively.
- Proficiency in MS Office.
- Ability to travel up to 40%.
