Building Automation Installation Foreman

My client is a well known Building Automation and Energy Management company. They are actively seeking a Installation Foreman with Building Automation knowledge and past experience running crews for Building Automation Construction projects. Manage workload with a full understanding of budgeted hours available to meet or exceed budgeting requirement. Perform all related work in a safe and professional manner, and responsible for the safe use, security and maintenance of all tools and equipment utilized in the performance of required tasks.

Responsibilities:

1. Participate in project planning meetings and work with Project Manager to develop plan for job completion

1. Read and understand blue prints and specifications to ensure all aspects of a specific project are being completed as designed by the projects engineer.

1. Coordinate changes being made in the field with the engineer and provide red lined drawings so as-builts can be updated in a timely manner.

1. Ensure all work is performed with the intent of exceeding budget goals.

1. Manage installers workload to comply with timely and efficient completion of all contract requirements and required schedules.

1. Always maintain positive working relationships with co-workers, subcontractors, clients, owners, managers while performing job related responsibilities.

1. Complete all job tracking documentation weekly to facilitate proper job costing and percentage of project completion.

1. Complete time cards on a weekly basis, make sure they are filled out properly and accurate with correct job cost codes and hours. Review the installer s time cards as well and make sure all information is correct.

1. Assume responsibility for the safe use of tools and equipment utilized in the performance of work requirements.

1. Assume responsibility of all parts and controls that you are given at the warehouse or have delivered to the job site, keep in a safe and secure are and out of harm s way so it is not stolen, lost or damaged.

Experience

• Minimum of 3 years related experience and /or training by a recognized source in the electrical/communication wiring field.

• Experience with reading and understand construction plans and contract requirements.

• Ability to supervise and direct others and accept responsibilities assigned by management.

• Experience with ATC systems and sequences of operation, along with a basic understanding of various HVAC systems and operation.

• Experience with basic computer operating software such as excel and word
