Job Title: Vice President, Amazon

Summary: The Vice President, Amazon will be responsible for leading all 1P (first-party) and Vendor Central operations for a global consumer products company based in Los Angeles. This pivotal role will involve developing and executing strategies to optimize sales, profitability, and brand presence on the Amazon platform. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in e-commerce, particularly with Amazon, and a proven track record of driving growth and maximizing performance within a consumer products context.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement comprehensive strategies to drive sales, profitability, and market share on Amazon's platform.
- Lead and oversee all aspects of 1P and Vendor Central management, including product listings, pricing strategies, inventory management, and promotional activities.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams such as marketing, sales, supply chain, and finance to ensure alignment with overall business objectives.
- Lead a team of high performing sales members to increase the efficiency of the group by mentoring, training and lifting others.
- Analyze performance metrics, sales data, and market trends to identify opportunities for growth and optimization.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with Amazon account managers and key stakeholders to leverage resources and drive initiatives effectively.
- Stay informed about Amazon's policies, algorithms, and best practices to ensure compliance and maximize visibility and performance.
- Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team of Amazon specialists, providing guidance, support, and professional development opportunities.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or a related field; MBA preferred.
- 8+ years of experience in e-commerce, with a focus on Amazon sales and account management.
- Proven track record of success in driving sales growth and profitability within a consumer products environment.
- 6+ years of proven experience selling on Amazon's platform and understanding algorithms and policies, with experience managing both 1P and Vendor Central operations.
- Strong analytical skills and proficiency in data analysis tools and techniques.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
- Strategic thinker with the ability to develop and execute actionable plans to achieve business objectives.
- Leadership experience, with the ability to inspire and motivate a team towards common goals.
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
