Gloyer-Taylor Laboratories (GTL) is a growing Aerospace Engineering company developing high performance liquid hydrogen storage systems which will enable a new class of aircraft and rocket systems. GTL is looking to fill a Composites Manufacturing Engineer position which will support the development and analysis of the company s composite propellant tanks, rocket components and structures at its Murrieta, CA office.
Work includes exposure to export restricted materials and requires security clearance eligibility. Work eligibility will be confirmed through E-Verify. All job offers will be contingent upon successful completion of a criminal background check.
Job Duties:

- Perform engineering tasks to support all aspects of production for composite components and structures for use in aerospace systems, launch vehicles and other space systems. Tasks include, but are not limited to:
- Develop manufacturing best practices and optimize processes for production
- Document production procedures and processes to allow for repeatable and reliable manufacturing
- Evaluate production processes for conformance to customer requirements and GTL quality standards
- Implement new and continually improve production processes
- Assist in the development of design criteria for composite aerospace tooling, products, and systems
- Assist in writing technical reports or other documentation for use by engineering staff, management, and/or customers
- Provide technical guidance to engineers, technicians, design and management team
- Support business development efforts such as writing proposals, meeting customers, and identifying business opportunities
- Support GTL management as needed.

Desired Skills/Experience:
Since GTL offers such a diverse line of products and services, candidates are expected to be flexible and comfortable working on multiple assignments with varying subject matter. This includes creating a prototype all the way from the concept and design stage to actually performing hands-on work and physically building the hardware and systems. Candidates should be comfortable working with both hand tools and power tools. The ideal candidate would have a broad background with the following additional experience preferred:
- Experience in manufacturing environments
- Experience in composite design
- Experience with solid modeling in CAD such as Solidworks
- Experience with Thermoset and Thermoplastic composites
- Experience designing, fabricating, and manufacturing composite structures and tooling
- Experience in layup, shape forming, and machining for structural composite prototypes and products
- Experience with composite structure repair techniques and processes
