Description:
As a NOC Engineer I, you will play a pivotal role in providing foundational support for monitoring and managing Segra's core, distribution, carrier last mile, and customer premise voice and data services. This position focuses on developing your technical skills and understanding of network operations. Your responsibilities include assisting with routine network surveillance, basic system troubleshooting, and documenting incidents and their resolutions. You will work closely with senior engineers to escalate issues beyond your scope, learning to prioritize tasks in a dynamic 24x7 network operations center environment. Additionally, you will engage in training sessions to enhance your knowledge of deployed technologies and contribute to maintaining operational documentation. This role provides a strong foundation for growing your expertise in network operations and prepares you for more complex tasks and responsibilities. Understanding of the OSI Model Layer 1 and Layer 3 is a Plus to have for this role.

Target Years of Exp: Minimum 5 years' experience only if they had a 4-year bachelor's degree in the technology field. 10+ if no Bachelor's degree. Top 5 Must Haves: minimum associate degree in technology, previous fiber or wireless provider NOC experience, has a growth mindset, demonstrates grit and is resourceful. Working with a team of about 10 NOC Tech, dealing with a day to day of layer 1 and layer 3 support. Also, documentation is apart if the job, so grammar matters on the resumes. He also prefers candidates with stable work history. Not interested in Job Hoppers. Resumes will be judged based on Education, Experience, Grammar, and overall resume presentation.
