Job Summary: Our client is seeking a skilled professional with expertise in Windows server environments, Linux, and storage management. The ideal candidate will assess and stabilize the VMware environment, develop project plans for re-baselining and upgrades, and manage server and storage processes effectively.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments of the current VMware environment and make recommendations for improvements.
- Manage and optimize storage solutions, including Block and NAS systems, with a preference for NetApp experience.
- Collaborate with the security team to develop and implement disaster recovery plans.
- Ensure efficient data movement and storage management across multiple locations.
- Create and execute project plans for system upgrades and enhancements.
- Communicate effectively with stakeholders and cross-functional teams.
- Potentially take on management responsibilities as needed.
Required Skills:
- Strong experience with VMware technologies, including ESXi, VCenter, TKGI, and NSX.
- Proficiency in Windows server environments; Linux experience is a plus.
- Familiarity with storage solutions, particularly Block and NAS, with a preference for NetApp.
- Understanding of Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery (BCDR) technologies; experience with Commvault is a plus.
Secondary Skills (Nice to Haves):
- Additional experience with Linux.
- Knowledge of NetApp storage solutions.
- Familiarity with other BCDR technologies.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in server and storage management.
- Strong decision-making and communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with various teams and stakeholders.
