Description:
Responsible for identifying, evaluating, analyzing and recommending initial build as well as modifications in support of oncology applications, including ongoing production maintenance and troubleshooting. Supports planning, design, development and build of Epic Beacon as it relates to pediatric oncology practice. Serves as analyst for tasks and projects assigned to the Epic Beacon module.
Education
Bachelor's degree (required) and equivalent 3 - 5 years direct work related experience
Epic oncology related certification: Epic Beacon; Epic ClinDoc (preferred); Epic Inpatient Willow (beneficial)
Responsibilities
Ensure the integrity, integration and stability of oncology applications
Demonstrate knowledge of best practices and understanding integration across clinical applications
Proves awareness of the industry, including regulatory, evolving customer demands, and the factors that differentiate the organization in the market
Consult vendor support sites, discussion forums and other sources to identify best practice workflows for assigned projects or applications
Ability to troubleshoot and document application and system issues
Assist in formulating and/or defining project scope and system objectives through research and fact finding of internal, external and independent sources
Assist technical resources to plan, coordinate and develop a comprehensive implementation plan for specific aspects and components for project integration
Ability to hear and communicate with others in a clear, understandable, and professional manner on the phone and in person; must demonstrate use of good written and verbal communication skills
Ability to interact effectively with peers, management, hospital staff, vendors and all customers
Meet or exceed service level agreement metrics for supported applications based on identified project objectives
May lead small projects with manageable risks and resource requirements
Ability to work after hours when required
Strong analytical and multi-tasking skills
Effective organizational skills and attention to detail; effective follow-through, and commitment to excellence
Exceptional time management skills
Microsoft Office (Excel, Word and PowerPoint), Visio and Project application knowledge.

Additional Skills & Qualifications:
Direct hire position, in Texas. To be specific, the candidate does not have to be in DFW but will be expected to attend onsite meetings as requested. On-Site work is as needed, this could possibly be 1 time a month or quarter depending on the team. The Percentage of on-site work will be dependent on the hiring manager. Direct hire travel is not covered. If they wish to relocate to the DFW area, 5k would be offered for direct hire.
