As a Direct Marketing Manager, you will be responsible for helping us drive growth by a) driving more business from our highly satisfied customers by managing our email marketing campaigns, b) managing our valuable database of puppy owners to unlock lifetime value opportunities via a variety of revenue sources., and c) working with outside partners to utilize direct mail to drive demand. You will play a critical role in driving customer engagement, increasing brand awareness, and maximizing revenue through strategic planning, implementation, testing, and analysis of all direct marketing efforts. Responsibilities: Develop and execute comprehensive email marketing campaigns, including segmentation, scheduling, content creation, and performance tracking. Manage the end-to-end process of email campaigns, from designing templates to creating compelling copy, ensuring a consistent brand voice and driving customer engagement. Conduct A/B testing and analyze campaign performance metrics to optimize email marketing strategies and improve key metrics such as open rates, click-through rates, and conversion rates. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including creative, product, and customer support, to align email marketing initiatives with overall marketing and business goals. Stay up to date with industry trends and best practices to continually enhance email marketing strategies and leverage emerging opportunities. Be the owner and champion of our various databases to find ways to unlock value among our own customers, and to partners to unlock lifetime value. Lead direct mail efforts working with some external implementation vendors to drive demand and revenue among specific cohorts. Monitor and report on key metrics and performance indicators for email marketing and paid social media efforts, providing actionable insights and recommendations for improvement. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, or a combination of education and experience Proven experience in managing email marketing campaigns and driving results. Strong understanding of email marketing best practices, including segmentation, personalization, automation, and deliverability. Proficiency in email marketing platforms (e.g., Mailchimp, HubSpot, Klaviyo) Strong understanding of databases, how to segment and manage them to unlock revenue opportunities. Demonstrated expertise in planning, executing, and optimizing paid social media campaigns across various platforms.. Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret data, analyze results, and make data-driven decisions. Strong project management abilities, including multitasking and meeting deadlines. Strong organizational skills to be the mastermind of our databases with a keen understanding of the demographic and data composition of each one. Up-to-date knowledge of industry trends, emerging technologies, and digital marketing strategies. Passion for pets and understanding of the pet products industry is a plus.
