The Retail Ads Formats team is responsible for the user experience with Google's shopping ads products. We build ad formats that aim to present the most useful and relevant information to help users' shopping journeys, in a modern, visual and delightful way.
Overall Responsibilities: (Share 2-3 sentences about the POSITION)
As a UXR on this team, you'll lead research studies that uncover insights about user needs to create useful, usable, and delightful products. You will conduct primary research such as field studies, interviews, diary studies, participatory workshops, ethnography, surveys, and usability testing and package insights in an actionable way for stakeholders from Product, Design and Engineering.
Top 3 Daily Responsibilities: (3+ bullets of the main responsibilities on the assignment)
You will be responsible for running projects end to end - from research planning to conducting the research to analysis and sharing out the insights.
You will conduct qualitative research including methods like usability studies, concept testing, diary studies, ethnography and others to gather meaningful insights
You will work with cross-functional stakeholders from product, design and engineering to scope the right projects and create impact from your studies.
Mandatory Skills/Qualifications: (All skills, both technical and soft, required to be successful in the role)
You have a high degree of competence in executing rigorous qualitative research with methods such as usability studies, concept testing, diary studies, ethnography.
You understand the strengths and limitations of each method and know which methods to use for different research questions.
You can distill qualitative data via analysis into meaningful insights and communicate clear and actionable insights and next steps for the team.
You are comfortable collaborating with stakeholders across functions and levels and have impact at all stages of product development and create industry-leading products that deliver value for the people who use them.
