This position is responsible for ongoing operational execution of the Information Technology (IT) Disaster Recovery program. Ensures that IT plans are updated and maintained to reflect the current operational environment. Facilitates the ongoing and successful testing of those plans. Develops and implements improvements to the existing program that enhances efficiencies, security, and operational capabilities.
Responsibilities
- Disaster Planning - Designs and implements an enterprise-wide IT disaster recovery program, including policy development and enforcement, methodologies, and sourcing strategies. Creates maturity models, metrics, and scorecards to evaluate the operational efficiency of the program.
- Plan Review - Reviews existing IT plans and processes extensively. Establishes, assesses, and communicates recovery requirements within a data center environment. Executes and supports disaster recovery testing activities. Supports and remediates any audit-related issues, following up on missed test objectives to identify potential weaknesses in the disaster recovery plan.
- Plan Enhancement - Utilizes results of review and testing to develop improvements. Provides guidance and recommendations that enable timely, effective decisions on data center recovery planning and execution.
- Collaboration - Establishes cross-departmental capabilities with associates, external business partners, and managers for the purpose of directing, controlling, and maintaining an effective testing plan. Works closely with associates and business teams throughout the implementation and maintenance of the disaster recovery program.
