Job Description
We're hiring an IT solutions engineer to join our team of IT professionals in supporting Dowbuilt's work as a high-end residential builder across the country. The IT Solutions Engineer position actively maintains, supports, and contributes to the development of IT engineering solutions and operational systems. These projects are deployed throughout the company, including but not limited to complex Smartsheets created with formulas and automations, Python files that use APIs to augment our SaaS Application ecosystem, shell scripting, internal wikis, and inventory databases. The IT Support Engineer will participate in bringing new applications online, administering SaaS applications, cost coding, cost engineering, and responding to security incidents in a timely fashion.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
As an IT solutions engineer at Dowbuilt, you'll be responsible for:
General
- Accountable for punctual attendance in meetings, meaningful contributions, and proactive communication of strategic directives or issue resolutions to both IT management and internal and external collaborators.
- Required to meet deadlines, memorialize successes and failures, and track progress communications across multiple platforms
Application Development and Support
- Support existing application assets, workflows, and automations
- Support and develop the in-house Python codebase
- Partner with other departments to optimize and develop new business workflows and data connections
- Accountable for management, support and comprehensive technical understanding of one or more Dowbuilt SaaS applications that IT services
- Leverage knowledge of SQL, PowerBI, and other data visualization tools
- Participate in departmental initiatives, such as new software roll-out
Help Desk and Endpoints
- Provide end-user help desk support for local and remote employees
- Provide shell scripting, M365 auditing, and server support as needed
- Provide redundancy in a backup capacity to the IT Support Specialist for Endpoints, backfilling enough to retain proficiency
- Resolve complex and abstract SaaS application issues by analyzing user requests, diagnosing problems, and implementing effective solutions
- Support end users in achieving optimal system functionality
Incident Response
- Cyber security incident management: contain, recover, prevent, document, and proactively communicate in accordance with internal protocols
- Demonstrate proficiency with MS O365 Entra administration
SaaS Administration
- Serve as lead admin for one or more of Dowbuilt s SaaS applications, such as Egnyte, HRIS, Procore O365
- Support end users by resolving complex SaaS application requests and fixing issues with previously functioning app assets
- Track and code software receipts and charges, ensuring accurate record-keeping
- Manage software renewals and project costs to ensure proper budgeting and forecasting
WHAT YOU BRING
As our IT solutions engineer, you'll confidently and professionally represent Dowbuilt, with a positive attitude and customer service-driven approach. To succeed in this position, you ll bring:
- Bachelors degree degree in IT, Computer Science and/or technical college, or 3 years experience in an IT position that supports in-house hardware and software systems
- Proficiency with MS Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word)
- Proficiency with Power Query Editor and PowerBI
- Proficiency with Python coding at an intermediate level and familiarity with API integration
- Experience with applications such as Smartsheet, Egnyte, and Slack is preferred
- Collaborative approach to understanding others' perspectives and ensuring alignment with shared objectives
- A customer service mindset
