Role Description:

As the Founding Machine Learning Engineer, you will lead the development of our AI models and infrastructure, focusing on Generative AI, LLMs, NLP, and agentic technologies. You will collaborate closely with the founding team to design, build, and scale our AI-driven solutions, shaping the future of our technology. This is a unique opportunity to have a significant impact on the company's direction and success.

Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and deploy advanced machine learning models, focusing on Generative AI, LLMs, NLP, and intelligent agents.
• Build and optimize data pipelines for training and deploying machine learning models.
• Conduct research and experiments to advance the capabilities of our AI technologies.
• Implement and manage runtime serving infrastructure for real-time AI model inference.
• Collaborate with the engineering team to integrate AI models into production environments.
• Leverage cloud platforms, particularly Google Cloud Platform (GCP), for deploying and scaling AI solutions.
• Stay updated with the latest advancements in AI and machine learning to incorporate cutting-edge techniques.
• Work closely with customers and the founding team to understand needs and translate them into technical requirements.
• Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code using Python and other relevant programming languages.
• Ensure system reliability, security, and performance through best practices and proactive monitoring.

Qualifications:

• Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field is required.
• Ph.D. in Computer Science, Machine Learning, AI, or a related field is preferred.
• Minimum of 5+ years of professional experience in machine learning and AI technologies.
• Proven experience with Generative AI, LLMs, NLP, and agentic technologies.
• Strong programming skills in Python; familiarity with other languages like JavaScript, C#, or Java is a plus.
• Proficiency with machine learning frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, or similar.
• Experience with data pipeline development and management.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms, preferably Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
• Knowledge of deploying AI models in production environments.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Passion for innovation and staying current with industry trends.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced startup environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with Natural Language Processing (NLP) and conversational agents.
• Knowledge of data engineering best practices and ETL pipeline development.
• Experience in startup or high-growth company environments.
• Contributions to open-source projects or published research in AI or related fields.
• Familiarity with DevOps practices and infrastructure-as-code tools like Terraform or Cloud Deployment Manager.
