Position Overview:

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior .NET Production Support Engineer to join our team for a prominent healthcare client in Boston, MA. The ideal candidate will have over 10 years of experience in .NET development, extensive expertise in production support, and strong SQL database management skills. This role involves managing complex production environments, troubleshooting critical issues, and ensuring high availability of applications vital to healthcare operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead production support efforts for .NET applications within the healthcare domain, ensuring timely resolution of issues to minimize impact on services.
  • Monitor application performance and optimize systems, implementing proactive measures to prevent incidents.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including development and QA, to diagnose production issues and lead root cause analysis for recurring problems.
  • Develop and execute complex SQL queries for debugging and data validation, ensuring data integrity and accuracy within databases.
  • Oversee the deployment of application updates and patches, validate their success, and conduct post-deployment reviews.
  • Document and track issues, resolutions, and support procedures in the ticketing system, maintaining comprehensive records for compliance and knowledge sharing.
  • Mentor and train junior staff on production support processes, troubleshooting techniques, and best practices.
  • Engage with stakeholders to gather requirements for system enhancements and participate in solution design discussions.
  • Stay current with industry trends and technologies in .NET and database management, recommending improvements aligned with business goals.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field; Master s degree preferred.
  • 10+ years of experience in .NET application development and production support.
  • Expert proficiency in SQL and hands-on experience with major relational databases (e.g., SQL Server, Oracle).
  • Comprehensive knowledge of healthcare industry standards and regulations (e.g., HIPAA) is essential.
  • Familiarity with cloud technologies (Azure, AWS) and DevOps practices is highly desirable.
  • Exceptional problem-solving skills with a proven ability to resolve complex technical issues under pressure.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to articulate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders and work collaboratively across teams.
  • Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git) and CI/CD tools.

Preferred Skills:

  • Advanced experience with C#, ASP.NET (MVC/Web API), and WPF or related frameworks.
  • Proficiency in application performance monitoring and troubleshooting tools.
  • Understanding of front-end technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript and frameworks such as Angular or React) is an advantage.
