Currently, we are seeking a motivated, career and team-oriented Okta Consultant, Solution Engineer
This is a remote position where the candidate can work from any location within the United States provided, they are able to work on an eastern time zone schedule.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Collaborate with technical teams and clients to understand security requirements and provide expert guidance on cybersecurity solutions, focusing on multifactor authentication (MFA), network security, and device-level engineering.
- Develop and implement comprehensive cybersecurity solutions, incorporating advanced security measures such as MFA, zero-trust architecture, and network segmentation.
- Conduct technical demonstrations and presentations to customers and stakeholders, clearly articulating the security benefits and features of proposed solutions.
- Perform security assessments and audits to identify vulnerabilities in customer environments and recommend mitigation strategies.
- Design and implement trust architecture capabilities, including zero trust network access (ZTNA), identity and access management (IAM), and continuous authentication mechanisms.
- Work closely with product development teams to provide customer feedback on cybersecurity features and suggest enhancements based on evolving security landscapes.
- Prepare and maintain comprehensive documentation for security solutions, including design specifications, deployment guides, and user manuals.
Minimum Qualifications:
- A bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field and 7 years of experience in a cybersecurity-focused role, such as Solutions Engineer, Cybersecurity Consultant, or Pre-Sales Engineer with a focus on security solutions.
- Must be Okta certified in Professional and Admin.
- Strong knowledge of cybersecurity principles, including multi-factor authentication, zero trust architecture, network security, and device-level engineering.
- Proficiency with IAM, MFA, and network security tools.
- Expertise in network-level and device-level security engineering, including the implementation of firewall policies, intrusion detection/prevention systems (IDS/IPS), and endpoint protection.
- Ability to analyze complex security challenges, develop innovative solutions, and manage multiple cybersecurity projects simultaneously.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex security concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Strong customer service orientation with a commitment to understanding and addressing cybersecurity needs.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional team environment and build strong relationships with stakeholders.
