Responsibilities

  • Design and implement effective inventory management strategies including demand forecasting, inventory planning, replenishment, and allocation processes.
  • Optimize inventory levels - Analyze historical sales data, market trends, and demand patterns to determine optimal levels for each product category. Identify and implement strategies to reduce excess inventory and minimize stock-outs.
  • Monitor inventory performance metrics and implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and reduce obsolescence.
  • Develop and lead the annual and seasonal Inventory planning processes.
  • Sets inventory targets and strategies each month in line with working capital and financial targets.
  • Oversees and executes supply chain transformation process including communication/alignment on key Inventory Management strategies and project pipeline management.
  • Leads transformative process to improve supply chain maturity, enhance efficiency, modernize systems, and reduce costs while increasing service levels.
  • Drives initiatives for process improvement, technology adoption, and best practice implementation.
  • Understands supply chain systems and technologies ensuring that best applications are implemented to meet and exceed business objectives.
  • Provides thought leadership for the overall supply chain team and where applicable, the broader organization.
  • Ensure supply chain leaders are trained on the latest supply chain tools, inventory management methodologies, and industry trends.
  • Communicates to executive leadership team on critical issues and developments needing attention.
  • Deploy mitigation strategies to avoid supply chain shortfalls and continuously evaluate alternative supply sources.
  • Use analytic techniques to support procurement projects.
  • Manage supply chain data by designing, producing, analyzing, continuously improving, and presenting monthly Inventory and supply chain metrics, measuring operational and financial performance against company specific objectives.
  • Track, manage and report cost savings as well as working capital improvements.
  • Identify gaps in policies, processes, and procedures.
  • Communicate effectively with senior leadership to provide regular updates on procurement performance and initiatives.
  • Develop supplier relationships in a way that results in both parties benefitting from the relationship.
  • Develop business resiliency plans.

Required Skills/Education

  • Bachelor’s Degree in related field or equivalent work experience
  • 10 years’ experience in Supply Chain/Logistics with specific experience in a senior management role responsible for both strategic and tactical aspects of supply chain/logistics.
  • Experience with supply chain transformation and process improvement.
  • Industry experience in Manufacturing, Life Sciences, Pharma, Medical Device, or Consumer Products.
  • Ability to assess and mitigate risk.

Salary and Benefits:

  • $170,000 - $180,000 depending on experience
