Job Description
Job Description: The Repair Technician/Technical Support Specialist role will work to troubleshoot and analyze products with a variety of customers to determine returns, fixes, etc. This person will also perform inhouse service, evaluations, create cost estimates and complete repairs of products.
Responsibilities:
Provide technical support to customers Coordinate and perform repair, service and evaluation activities for both warranty and non-warranty products Issue RMAs as required and ensure RMA database entries are accurate and current Identify, record, and investigate customer complaints Evaluate and improve on processes in support and service activities Develop innovative solutions Collect, record, and evaluate data Identify, record, and investigate nonconformities Assist in development of process documentation and work instructions for support and service Maintain inventory control of repair components, service stock and tools Recommend upgrades and modifications to improve system/product performance
Qualifications: Requirements:
Technical AS Degree/training or equivalent work experience (Preferred) HVAC, Security System, Fire Alarm, Building Controls knowledge (Preferred) Thorough understanding of electronics principles and design Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite Detail-oriented and organized Excellent verbal and written communication skills Analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills Teamwork and interpersonal communication skills Mechanical aptitude and ability to understand wiring diagrams and schematics Strong hand-eye coordination and proficiency in using tools like soldering equipment, troubleshooting tools, multimeters, earth ground tester, low voltage test light.
