The role of Business Systems Analyst sits in the Finance Systems Platform Team within Technology. The role will support a key project led in the US that aims to improve our collection rate and reduce our bad debt. The role is part of a larger functional and technical support team who own the design and support of the Oracle Financial applications system. The successful candidate will also actively support the development, finance, and audit teams, providing systems proficiency and expertise.
Essential Duties:
  1. US Collections support:
  • Lead the facilitation and documentation of business requirements against workpackage.
  • Take ownership of the translation of business requirements to technical functional requirements.
  • Document and agree the target design with Engineering.
  • Provide work estimations to feed back into the overall project plan.
  • Support Finance with assessing work package prioritization based on technical delivery estimates against business benefit.
  • Create the required Jira stories for Engineering in order for the work to be delivered.
  • Provide functional and technical expertise back for the areas you are responsible for back into the project.
  • Where required, document business system processes and perform functional GAP analysis.
  • Where required, document functional test scripts, perform functional testing and record test evidence.
  • Provide workpackage status to management, highlighting any issues, dependencies, risks or issues.
  • Where required, lead key-user training along with the development of any required training material.
  • Deal with Oracle Support and Customer Connect log and maintain Oracle Service Request for discovered functional bugs and malfunctions, apply the offered solutions.
  • Where required, build financial reports (Toad/SQL, Splash, Blitz, BI Publisher).

  • Accounting and Finance Teams.
  • Finance Platform Team, specifically Engineering and other BSAs.
  • Architecture.
  • Infrastructure.
  1. Your Profile:
  • Strong comp rehensive experience on Oracle E-Business Suite R12, with focus on the Financials Applications. Must be an expert within AR, AP and GL.
  • Major experience in full life-cycle implementations in a global company, in integration with core systems (some based on Oracle Apex).
  • Strong SQL experience.
  • Strong analytical skills.
  • Background: University degree in Business Administration/Finance/Accounting with preferred IT industry domain-specific knowledge and experience
  • Experience with Atlassian Jira, Confluence, or Service Now a plus
  • Strong Excel abilities for analytical purposes
  • Experience managing multiple projects/tasks of varying complexities, meet deadlines and work well under pressure
  • Confident communication across multiple teams and levels of the Organizational structure.
